Story time for you all~ this photo may not look like much to you. To me it is 2 years of hard work and a successful closing at the end. Asking price was $1.75M for 3.18 acres of raw land in Pleasant Grove.

In this post I am going to share an example of why FSBO’s or For Sale By Owner’s do NOT work!

My client contacted me about selling and was forthcoming that they may try to do work of mouth. A few of their neighbors had done this and were able to sell fast and over what they thought was “fair”. I explained that with a home such as theirs they needed to market it to the masses; obtain as much exposure as possible. We were able to go above where they felt comfortable in selling and with the multiple offers we went even above our original list price. Ultimately my sellers will be making ~$135k more than they thought they would even after commissions and closing costs.
